Terms of Service & Fair Use Policy

1. Definitions

"Data" refers to the vehicle fitment records, tire size mappings, and related vehicle specification data provided through Wheels Easy's CSV downloads, SQLite files, API, or embed widget.

"Customer" refers to any individual or entity that purchases a license to use the Data.

"Service" refers to the API access and/or embed widget provided by Wheels Easy.

2. License Grant

Upon purchase, Wheels Easy grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Data for the following purposes:

• Internal business operations (inventory management, product matching)
• Customer-facing applications on your own website or app (tire finders, fitment tools)
• Internal analytics and reporting

3. Restrictions

You may not:

• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the raw Data to third parties
• Share, publish, or make available the Data files (CSV, SQLite) for public download
• Use the Data to build a competing dataset product or data resale service
• Systematically scrape, crawl, or extract data from our API or widget beyond normal usage
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or attribution

4. Fair Use Policy

Our API and embed widget are designed for genuine business use. The following constitutes fair use:

API Access

• Up to 10,000 requests per month per API key
• Maximum 30 requests per minute sustained
• Requests must originate from your application serving real end users

Embed Widget

• Unlimited lookups for genuine customer interactions
• Widget must be deployed on the domain(s) registered with your account

What is NOT fair use

• Automated bulk extraction or systematic downloading of data through the API
• Using multiple API keys to circumvent rate limits
• Deploying the widget in a way that exposes the underlying data for scraping
• Running automated scripts against the API to reconstruct the full dataset

We monitor usage patterns. Accounts that violate fair use will receive a warning. Continued abuse results in suspension without refund.

5. Data Accuracy

We work to keep the data accurate and up to date (see our data collection methodology). However, fitment data should always be verified against the vehicle manufacturer's specifications before use in safety-critical applications. Wheels Easy is not liable for incorrect fitment recommendations resulting from data inaccuracies.

6. Pricing & Payments

• All prices are in EUR and exclude VAT where applicable
• One-time purchases (CSV/SQLite) provide a perpetual license for the version purchased
• Subscriptions (embed widget) are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time
• Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase if the data does not meet your needs

7. Intellectual Property

The Data, its structure, organization, and compilation are the intellectual property of Wheels Easy. Your license grants usage rights, not ownership. The underlying data collection methodology, normalization processes, and quality assurance systems remain proprietary.

8. Termination

We may terminate your license if you violate these terms. Upon termination:

• You must destroy all copies of the Data in your possession
• API keys will be revoked immediately
• Embed widgets will stop functioning

9. Limitation of Liability

Wheels Easy's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Data in the 12 months preceding any claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email to active customers. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
